Raced in the regional harescramble event yesterday, rode my new KTM300-XC, found the bike great to ride, the difference in the frame is noticeable - and positive!

The track was well marked but pretty fast in most places. I was hitting 140 on the fastest bits (eeeek!). It was 3 hours so the top guys fit in 5 laps of 32km each, I stayed with Jade in the lead for first 3 laps then in the 4th lap lost some time in queues - they have this system where you have to get a metal card stamped at 5 points on the lap, to show you're not cheating, and I got behind a lot of clubmen riders. I'm not aggressive enough to just push them out of the way. On my fifth lap I caught up 30 seconds and had my fastest lap (think it was the fastest lap overall!) but it wasn't enough, came second by about 28 seconds.

Good race though, good day of sport! The rest of the Comsol Alfie Cox team did well, Will and Dom both won their classes.
