Red Bull Romaniacs Day One

Looks as though it is pretty nasty out there, just from the live bloggins reports and photos. Chris finished day 1 in second place, unofficially about 40 minutes behind Graham Jarvis.  He did really well by the sounds of it, the hills are made almost unrideable in the rain.

I asked him how come Jarvis got ahead, and he put it down to the hills, so thankfully there were no technical issues, open gates, loose wire etc this year (touch wood).

He sounded pretty happy when I spoke to him (though, that was at 1:30am so I was half asleep ...)

Three more days of racing to go yet! As we have seen in years past anything can happen so keep going Chris we are all cheering for you!

PS Taddy Blazuziak has pulled out with injured shoulder...
