Red Bull City Scramble 2012

The Red Bull City Scramble came to town again and was a massive success!

We were really lucky to get a rain free week in the lead up to the race and on the day. I spent three fun days swinging off a hammer, driving bobcats and anything else Cat would let me loose in. The guys from Waitemata Motorcycle club did an amazing job and we built a truly awesome track. It was technical, fast and looked great. 

 

On race day I had a good run through my heat races and finished up third in the final. I got a rubbish start and had to battle my way through a lot of riders, I made a big pass on Warren and grabbed the podium spot. My knee held up pretty well really but it’s swollen up again.

 

It was great to be able to show off our sport to thousands of people, I hope we inspired some future racers! A huge thanks to Red Bull, KTM, Caterpillar and Volkswagen for making it happen.
